One of the best things about travelling is getting to try all the different foods from the countries that you’re visiting. I love researching our trips beforehand to see what kind of local dishes we should be trying. I was recently sent this fun infographic that shows off some of the traditional dishes of each European country. So fun! Paul and I have only been to two European countries so far (England, where we didn’t have Sunday Roast and Italy, where, of course, we had pizza).
Of course, living in such a multi-cultural city as Toronto, I’ve had the chance to try many of these dishes without having to travel very far. Dishes like Paella (Spain), Stroopwafel (the Netherlands) and Moules frites (Belgium) are among my favourites. And who hasn’t had the Swedish meatballs from IKEA?
How many of these dishes have you tried before? What are your favourites?
